Fasteners have to be the most challenging of all consumer products to research. It is absolutely amazing the number of types of fasteners, sizes, shapes, applications, and quality.

There are futher frustrations to researching these items. We’ve discovered that at least some fasteners are made in the USA. Which is a good thing. However, more common than not is that the products are made for large purchasers and are not available to the consumer for general home use. Having said that, the following information is an accumulation of several research projects that we have done for various types of fasteners.

The Wheelbarrow reseach has been a little challenging. Though we can find several that claim to be made in USA. Typically the wheel is not made in the USA.

So several wheel barrows will fall within the legal guidelines of Made in USA. However, for those looking for 100% made in USA, the search is still on.

Can you find me a power circular handsaw, about a 7″ blade, made in USA? It seems Black&Decker, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, DeWalt, Skil, and Porter-Cable have all left our shores.

I’ve had several requests for Automobiles Made in the USA. Right now, the request is very large and complex. Not to mention everyone’s definition of Made in USA is slightly different. I’ve been looking for heat pumps as you’ve requested. I guess I’m way over my head on this one. There are a gazillion kind of heat pumps and that is making it very difficult to narrow down a specific kind.

I found this company where the manufacturing locations are varied but not China, but then I’m not sure if they have the kind that works in the moble home. You can check it out. Sundyne I’m also inquiring with Rheem

I’ve found these links that indicate the product is Made in USA. But, just because it is advertised that way, doesn’t mean it is. I’ll be requesting confirmation from the manufacturer. Here are the links for you to peruse while I continue the research.

It looks like Sharpe is Made in USA. They say that they have partnered with Graco. I see Graco labeled as Made in USA. It seems that this text would confirm that advertising as well. Check labels and ask questions though. Sharpe

Champion Brands has confirmed that their brands are made in the USA.

Their comments “All of our Champion products are made at our Clinton, MO plant or bought as finished goods from other U.S companies. Yes, all of our Champion branded products are made in the USA. We do distribute other nationally recognized brands such as Pennzoil, Mobil, Permatex, Turtle Wax, Plews and so-on. I can’t speak to their manufacturing practices.”
