Fire Alarm Systems and Smoke Alarms are at the top of the research list this week. Gary asked for information on a residential fire alarm system made in USA.

While Nationwide Alarm LLC Alarm Systems USA indicated that most of their systems are assembled in Mexico, Silent Knight Fire Alarm Panels are Made in teh USA.

They say… “Please visit our website and click on the fire alarm link for further information. Sherry has asked if a corded telephone is made in the USA. I have been unable to find ANY type of phone made in the USA. If you have information on this type of electronic, please help us out!

Arthur was perusing our site and suggested that we post Audio Equipment. At this time I have no Audio Equipment listed in the database. This is mostly because I hadn’t had a request to research this particular type of equipment. Generally, that’s how it works, as I research I either post to the blog or I input the information into the database. Believe it or not there are SO many items made in the USA, I can’t get them all posted to the database. Anyway,
Arthur has kindly forwarded his research and with his permission, I’m posting it here. Though I’m sure Arthur was diligent in his research, I haven’t confirmed the exact manufacturing location for each brand. As always, as questions if you are in the serious buying mood!

Howard Miller Floor Clocks and Mantel Clocks – Still in verification process.
Hermle Clock Some made in USA, Some made in Germany. I’m trying to get clarification on which are which.

Amazon is advertising many as made in USA. The manufacture is named “Wall Clock” but I haven’t yet found their site in order to confirm.

I could not find a digital camera made in the usa.

I did find this info from Roger Simmermaker. He makes some valid comments that should be considered. How To Buy American. Go down the page until you find the paragraph on Cannon and Kodak Cameras.

I was chasing around a camera called Che-Ez! from a company called NHJ. That camera is advertised in many places on the web as Made in USA. But, It is a japanese company with “offices” in the usa. I never did confirm the actual locations of the offices or if there really is a manufacturing plant. I also question the quality of the product.
