Steam Iron
I’m in search of a steam iron.
The current search includes an Oreck model and a Reliable Model. I know that Oreck manufactures sweepers/vacuumes in the US. I am in the process of contacting both companies for verification on their products.

The Oreck response is “Oreck designs, engineers, and assembles the majority of its home appliances and cleaning products right here in America in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.”
As I see it this response is not very direct and does not specifically state that the steam iron IS made in the USA. You will have to check the label!

This is the response from the Reliable Corporation.
“The V95 Digital Velocity iron is made in China with an Italian made Pump.
J420 & J490A are both assembled in Romania with all their parts made in Italy.”

I am looking for a steam iron NOT MADE IN CHINA. Chineese products are inferior in quality and break easily. I definitely do not want anything made in China.
I want a USA made, German or Swiss made steam iron. Can you help?

Just a comment on Oreck: They only make SOME of their products in the USA. I emailed them about their hand held vacs and learned they are made in China.
