Chair cushions
Hello
A few weeks ago I asked about chair pads. Both Sears and Target carry chair pads made in USA, but of fabric and stuffing from China. Might as well be made in China!. I did find some on Sturbridge Yankee Workshop, I was told they are made from all USA products. I ordered some. We will see when they get here!

A disappointment no doubt. And ofcourse there are limits to internet searches.
I trust that the label said “Made in USA” with imported materials? Believe it or not, this is a legal label. It is called explicit labeling. According to the “FTC” labeling rule, if the company makes the statement and the majority of the cost of manufacturing occured in the USA, then it is “Made in USA”.
What we have here is a difference in values. The government is very lenient with their definitions. Our May newsletter addresses this. Our next newsletter will discuss how we as individuals seek and find our own level of “Made in USA”.
There is no right or wrong answer here, only that the “level” of Made in USA is unique to each person.
Please let me know how the Sturbridge Yankee Workshop product works out. Ofcourse I will want to catalog them if they turn out to be 100% Made in USA!
