Researching Stainless Steel Flatware Made in USA
These past couple of weeks I’ve been concentrating on Stainless Steel Flatware for Jamie. The research was long, tideous, and frustrating.
The long and the short of it is, two Oneida patterns are made in the USA. They are also made overseas. The patterns are Michaelangelo and Juilliard. They are both beautiful patterns. These two patterns are made in the US by a manufacturing company called Sherrill.
The problem is, where can these patterns be purchased where you are assured that they have been made by Sherrill Mfg? I intend to get an answer for this question.. Check back! In the mean time be sure to check the box for origin or call the department store to have them check before you shop.
Also, there seems to be a fair number of silversmiths still making sterling silver flatware in the US.
